Welcome to Mac Uíllíam
This is the MacUíllíam estate in Fortunestown Road Tallaght.
It is a fairly new estate that has been around for about 25-30 years. It has lots of different age groups and communities of people all living together.
Creative Places Mac Uíllíam is a three-year arts programme supported by the Arts Council of Ireland. Awarded to Mac Uíllíam Tallaght in 2023, the programme aims to connect with local residents, artists, and the estate to develop a wide range of creative actions, artistic opportunities, activities and events that celebrate the community and its people.
The programme is led by Tallaght Community Arts and developed collaboratively with the people of Mac Uíllíam Estate, local artists, our steering group and the wider community.
The Creative Places national programme provides an opportunity for locations (such as towns, villages, suburbs, island communities) that have had fewer chances in the past to participate in the arts, to build creative programmes which will benefit the local community. https://www.artscouncil.ie/creative-places/
